This is the kind of poem that makes me want to write stories inspired by it, except they'd never be as gorgeous as this.

This is an old favourite of mine; I hadn't decided which Shakespeare to post, and then going through the index of first lines in my Complete Works, I saw this first line and started saying the sonnet aloud, the words coming back as I went. Which I think speaks to how memorable and beautiful this one is.
